Delaware Senator Chris Coons: Make Ethanol a Reality

    Criticism of environmental regulations has been at the forefront of discussions related to Delmarva's poultry industry, but Delaware Senator Chris Coons says some poultry producers are criticizing the timetables for developing bio-fuels, citing their crops are accessible now.

    Senator Coons made the comment following the Delmarva Poultry Summit, held on Jan.23, at the Delmar, DE Volunteer Fire Hall.

    The event was closed to the media, restricted to poultry leaders and government officials. Other topics discussed at the summit were workforce expansion and the removal of China's export restrictions.

    Maryland Senators Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin were scheduled to attend the Summit, but canceled due to weather conditions in Washington D.C.
